Each of us faces times in our lives when concerns or problems interfere with our ability to cope with daily living. Therapy can be a tool for change or a source of support when a person needs it most. Working with a therapist enhances an individual’s ability to make sense of his or her thoughts, emotions and actions, and to explore more positive, meaningful life choices.

I provide an accepting, safe and confidential environment where clients can talk about anything that is troubling them. I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet the specific goals and needs of each client and am respectful of differences in values and beliefs.

The treatment modalities I draw upon in my practice are:

  • Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB)
  • Relational Somatic Psychology
  • Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
  • Self-Regulation Therapy (SRT)
  • Psychodynamic
  • Attachment Theory and Developmental Psychology
  • Hakomi, Gestalt and Existential Psychology
I continue to hone my skills by attending numerous courses and workshops, especially in the fields of neurophysiology and somatic psychology, through UCLA and the Santa Barbara Graduate Institute. My work is informed from a somatic (mind-brain-body) approach, which guides me to relate to each client as a unique, complex whole.

The emphasis of my present practice is assessment and treatment in the following areas:
  • Abuse and Trauma (including PTSD)
  • Addictions
  • Anger Management
  • Anxiety and Panic Disorders
  • Borderline Personality Disorder
  • Eating Disorders
  • Depression
  • Individual, Couples and Family Therapy
  • Parenting
  • Personal Growth
  • Phobias
  • Relationship Issues
  • Stress Management
